Education

I am a licensed teacher in secondary social studies education in Virginia. I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Trinity Washington University in 2003. My undergraduate degree is in Historic Preservation, the University of Mary Washington, 1992. I am a lifelong-learner and am always seeking out new opportunities to educate myself and become a better teacher and better person.

Experience

I have tutored students since 2007 and have taught at South Lakes High School in Reston, VA since 2006. I work with students ages 3-9 in a Montessori summer program and have experience teaching grades 5-8. I am the founder and coordinator of the Historic Stoutsenberger Farmstead. I like to tutor students because together we can tackle challenges and achieve goals.

I also have a passion for architecture.
