Experience
I attended Virginia Tech, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics, along with minoring in Actuarial Science and Mathematics. As far back as I can remember, I have always been interested in mathematics because it provides a clear, systematic answer. Through mathematics, one can solve a problem through a reliable process with a minimal margin of error.I tutor a number of subjects, including elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra levels one to four, linear algebra, pre-calculus, calculus level one, geometry, differential equations, statistics, trigonometry, arithmetic, and competition math. In addition, I am fully equipped to prepare students for the math portions of the SAT and ACT tests. As a tutor, I love being able to teach students a number of strategies that can be employed to reach an answer. It is my mission to help students develop a greater understanding of the material, so that they are able to overcome any unexpected challenges. By doing so, students will be able to recognize when an answer is incorrect, and locate where they have made their mistakes.I currently live in Reston, Virginia. My hobbies include reading novels, writing science fiction, and hiking. I also enjoy sports, as an athlete and a spectator, volunteering in politics, and riding roller coasters.
