Experience
I attended Washington and Lee University, where I earned degrees in Sociology and International Politics. I also studied Russian extensively. I'm currently enrolled at American University-Washington College of Law, where I'm working toward a Juris Doctor and a graduate degree in National Security and United States Foreign Policy. I've done work as a tutor since middle school in formal and informal capacities. I'm most experienced in teaching Government, English, History, Algebra, and Reading Comprehension to high school and middle school students. I've worked with students to prepare for the SAT and LSAT, as well. My strategy for teaching test prep is to focus on the test material, as well as test-taking tips and strategies that can help students increase their efficiency while taking the exam. I've acted as a Russian tutor, focusing primarily on speech, writing, and comprehension at introductory and intermediate levels. I craft my lessons and study sessions to cater to student strengths and areas that need improvement. I also make sure to focus on the speed and organization of lessons. I love to read, hike, work out, go to movies, and play sports (I played football in college).
