I have a Bachelor's Degree in biology from Truman State University. I have experience tutoring students in a variety of science courses, including cell biology, genetics, and biology. In addition to tutoring students in these areas, I also have experience designing projects and curriculum for these courses. I am also comfortable in tutoring students in additional science courses, including chemistry, medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, physiology, microbiology, and anatomy. In terms of teaching experience, I have also worked with individuals to improve their skills in Taekwondo and worked with refugees who had a limited proficiency in English. My tutoring philosophy involves figuring out what my students goals are, which sometimes involves helping them figure out what their goals should be. Once I have identified what their goal is, I do everything possible to help them reach that goal. I also have the ability to identify when a particular strategy is not working and finding a strategy that will work better for my students. Based on my own experiences, I try to make learning fun by using current events, memorable stories, and interactive strategies as much as possible. In terms of hobbies, I enjoy travelling, gardening, baking, hiking, and camping.
