I'm a former English teacher who specializes in preparing students for the SAT and the ACT. Throughout my 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I have developed a passion for helping my students achieve their goal scores on the SAT, PSAT, and ACT. I can also help with geometry, physics, and a variety of other tests and subjects. I take my time to find the best teaching style that fits the unique needs and learning styles of each individual student. I develop a specific SAT and/or ACT preparation plan and set of goals for each student in order to monitor progress. As a former English teacher, I can help explain all the details in the SAT and ACT writing and grammar sections. I also have very clever strategies for the SAT and ACT reading sections. I also help students with ACT science and ACT/SAT math. I have developed a passion for test preparation, and nearly all of my students have seen significant improvements in their scores after working with me. I have helped hundreds of students prepare for these exams. During my tutoring sessions, I often help many of my students improve their organizational skills, along with their academic knowledge and preparation for college. During my extensive experience in teaching and tutoring, I have attended numerous teaching and tutoring seminars and learned a variety of unique methods that have allowed me to find different ways of connecting with my students to keep them engaged in the material.
